Steyr has passed an historic mile mark with the introduction of the new Duett, the company’s first combination rifle and shotgun. With a free-floated and adjustable rifle barrel situated below a precision 12-ga. shotgun barrel, the break-action Duett brings perfect balance to a multi-faceted sporting firearm.
The Duett’s new Steyr Hand Cocking System (HCS™) ensures both cold-hammer-forged barrels are primed for the hunt, so no matter what your quarry may be, you are always ready for the next shot. The unique HCS is operated by the thumb allowing the user to manually cock the internal firing mechanism and also enhances safety by allowing for manual de-cocking of the firing pin.
This sleek new firearm features a slim stock for smooth and rapid target acquisition. Its long, engraved side plates prove to be impressively stylish, while the pair of gold-plated triggers will each verify the superbly engineered fire-control group hidden inside. The famous Steyr target logo highlights the pistol-grip cap.
The Duett’s shotgun barrel accepts 12-ga./3-inch shotshells, and the rifle barrel is available in .223 Remington, .243 Winchester, .308 Winchester, 7x65R, .30-’06 Springfield, .30R Blaser, 8x57IRS or 9.3x74R. The Duett sports a 23.6-inch barrel set with an overall length of 40.3 inches and it weighs in at approximately 6.4 pounds. The Duett is available in five versions: Standard, Elegance, Earl and Duke and Grand Duke.
When flexibility counts, the Steyr Duett is the accurate choice.
