genuine piece of WWII history made in May. of 1943 at Springfield Armory, “S.A. 6-43” barrel, it has a matching, dated serial number, 1661084 That serial number is clearly printed on the old, original US Arsenal hang tag that is on the rifle. Original to that period parts on the rifle include:Lock Bar rear sights, #6 S.A.Op Rod, #12 S.A. Bolt, #12 S.A. Trigger Group. Low wear reading shows on muzzle and throat.
