Winchester, Ky. Made from 1084 Carbon Steel, this everyday carry was designed by Division Director Rob “Filo” Cabrera to be discrete and compact without sacrificing relevance. Elements like the oversized ring and precision thumb break provide the best amount of retention for quick deployment.
The Ahab’s strong, lightweight construction make it the perfect duty belt utility tool that will be there when you need it most. An oversized ring allows for gloved deployment, while a swedged spine at the point provides for better penetration. The Ahab knife has precision jimping for proper thumb braking and screwed handle hardware for easy maintenance. Equipped with versatile eyelet locations, they provide adaptability to other attachment systems. It is PVD coated for a clean, sharp, durable finish.
The Ahab knife has an overall length of 7.625 inches with a 3-inch blade. The knife is finished in a matte black and the handle is made from a black, coarse textured G10 material for a positive grip, even while wearing gloves or the hands are wet. The included sheath is made form 0.06 inch Kydex with a Safe-Lock. The DoubleStar Ahab every day carry knife is made in Taiwan and has a manufactured retail price of $84.99.
Rob Cabrera, a self-defense instructor, has over 20 years of self-defense instruction to the military and law enforcement communities, and 9+ years as a professional knife designer with his own company Filo Bladeworks before assuming the role of DoubleStar’s Edged Weapon Division in 2017.
