What is Auction Armory?
Auction Armory is an online marketplace and community connecting verified firearm sellers (dealers and private sellers where legal) with buyers. We do not directly sell firearms, instead, we provide a platform for listing, browsing, and connecting, much like a classifieds or “marketplace” model.
Is Auction Armory an auction site?
Despite the name, Auction Armory does not function as a traditional auction house. Sellers post listings; buyers browse, contact, and transact through regulated channels.
Who can use Auction Armory?
Anyone 18 or older (or older if required by local, state, or national law) may create a user account. By using Auction Armory, you agree to comply with all applicable firearm laws in your jurisdiction. Our site enforces age gating to ensure compliance.
Does Auction Armory charge listing fees or commissions?
Auction Armory does not charge any transaction or listing fees at the moment.
What types of items can I list?
Sellers may list firearms (where legal), ammunition, accessories, parts, outdoor gear, and related items, subject to our platform policies and legal compliance.
What are my responsibilities as a seller?
Sellers must ensure their listings comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. You must honestly represent the item’s condition, provide accurate descriptions/photos, and, if required, facilitate lawful transfer.
How do I purchase a listing?
Once you find a listing of interest, you contact the seller through our messaging system. The transaction should be completed in compliance with all relevant laws, often via a licensed firearm dealer (an FFL) if required.
.
Do you handle background checks, shipping, or transfers?
No, Auction Armory does not handle firearms directly. Buyers and sellers are responsible for ensuring the sale and transfer comply with all legal requirements. In many cases, the firearm will ship (or be transferred) to a licensed dealer (FFL), who will perform any required background check. This is standard practice in online firearms marketplaces.
.
Is buying used firearms online safe/reliable?
To reduce risks, always request clear photos, condition reports, and confirm the seller’s credentials.
.
Does Auction Armory verify sellers or require licenses (FFL)?
We require sellers to comply with all applicable firearm laws, for dealers, that includes appropriate licensing (e.g., Federal Firearms License, or equivalent under regional law). We encourage, and where necessary mandate, that firearms be transferred through licensed dealers to comply with background check and transfer regulations.
.
How does Auction Armory help ensure transactions are compliant and safe?
Auction Armory provides a framework: we facilitate connection and listing, but actual transfers must follow legal protocols. We do not hold inventory or ship firearms ourselves. By encouraging transparent listings, verified sellers, lawful transfer through licensed dealers, and compliance with regulations, we aim to foster responsible, legal commerce.
