Top Slow motion bullet shots: Insane impacts, ballistics, steel (videos)
Was out on the range this past weekend shooting some steel. Just thinking how cool it would be to see these shots in slow motion. A few hours later I found myself glued to my phone watching dozens of super slow clips.
From shooting a .50 cal to a tank. Down to a 22lr through a windshield.

These are by far the best slow motion bullet impacts available anywhere. Watch for the hollow point rounds in the ballistics gel.

What happens when you visit a gun range with a .40 caliber Sig Sauer SP2022 pistol and a Vision Research Phantom v611 slow-mo video camera? Bullets moving like molasses. See a variety of angles on the shots we made for The Oregonian/OregonLive’s series, Toxic Armories, which revealed how poor maintenance allowed dangerous lead dust to accumulate at National Guard firing ranges. These images were made outdoors, and our shooter wore gloves. Turn up the sound for the soothing strains of classical Pachelbel’s Canon.
6. Bullet time (39k FPS) Slow Motion
This week we have a bit of a treat for you guys. This footage was shot at framerates varying between 6,900FPS – 39,000FPS on a Phantom V12.1 High-Speed Camera. 39,000FPS is literally 1,625X slower than real time! We were shooting an XD9, AR15, and a Combat Shotgun (I forget the model), provided by Powell-Peralta Skateboards.
