At the Ranch - Whitetail: Executing a Shot Opportunity
Webster defines Buck Fever - nervous excitement of an inexperienced hunter at the sight of game. To stop this horrible condition, the hunter must take precautions and fully prepare for the upcoming hunt. We outline a few steps to make sure Buck Fever doesn't stop you from bringing home that trophy this season.
1 - Don't focus on the antlers. Focus on the exact spot you want to hit the deer.
2 - Anticipate where your shots might be ahead of time. You'll be better prepared and ready when the time actually comes.
3 - Take a deep breath and calm down as much as possible. Too much adrenaline, excitement and nerves can cause errors in judgement. Relax and focus on making the perfect shot!
