Please join Riton Optics in welcoming Wade Sanders to the Riton optics official pro staff. Wade brings a great deal of experience to the team and is a current law enforcement officer in Stafford, AZ. His bio continues below.
Hi, my name is Wade Sanders. I am a 40 year old native of Arizona (41 Yrs old May 29th). I am currently employed by the Safford Police Department. I have been in Law Enforcement for 18 years, the last 17.5 with the Safford Police Department. I started my career as a Reserve Deputy with the Graham County Sheriff’s Office May of 1999, and then went to the Springerville, Az Police Department in Oct of 1999 as a full time Officer. I applied and was hired by the Safford Police Department in Sept of 2000 and have been employed there ever since. I am currently assigned to patrol and a member of the Special Response Team. Past assignments have been Field Training Officer, Tactical Combat Casualty Care Instructor, Bolt Gun Operator (SRT), and Business Resource Officer. Chief’s Award recipient 2006.
I am an avid outdoorsman. I have hunted in several different states for different species of game from Deer, Elk, and Antelope to Small game. My most memerable would be a drop hunt for Caribou in Alaska in 2006. I am currently President of the South Eastern Arizona Sportsman Club which is a non profit 501c3 organization (www.facebook.com/seazsc). The SEAZSC builds, rebuilds, and maintains water sources for the wildlife in Southeastern Arizona. The club works closely with AZGFD, Forest Service, and BLM on these projects, and other habitat improvement projects. I also present hunting seminar’s to youth in South Eastern Arizona on how to hunt the different species of game through the club. I am a current AZGFD Hunter Education Instructor and have been teaching Hunter Education for more than 5 years to youth and adults from around the State and Country. I am a competitive hunter participating in several coyote hunting competitions throughout the year. I am also the founder of the South Eastern Arizona Coyote Calling Challenge in Safford, Az which has drawn 30 teams and over 100 people to the check in the last 3 years and continues to grow (www.facebook.com/seazccc).
